NAYACU is a business in the
Spanish Pyrenees, we are between Aragón and Catalunya region in
the Benasque Valley, Alta Ribagorza area. We are very close to the
highest mountains in the Pyrenees all them over the 3.000 meters over
the sea level.
We are surrounded of very
important natural places as Aigüestortes National Park, Posets-Maladeta
Natural Park or Ordesa National Park.
All our tours cover the
most spectacular valleis of the Pyrenees as Boi Valley, Barrabes Valley,
Benasque Valley, Aran Valley, Pineta Valley...

In our long tours we too visit other
places in Spain not so famous as the Pyrenees, is the case of
Cuenca, a town just two hours by car from Madrid. It is a
small town with less than 50,000 inhabitants. It has been named as a World
Heritage Site by UNESCO; not surprising considering the richness of its history
and its stunning scenery. |

Cuenca has two
clearly different parts : the old town and the new town. The monuments,
historical buildings and the famous Hanging Houses are in the old town and the economic activity is centred in the new town.
Cuenca
is situated on the top of a rocky ridge some thousand metres above sea level.
Two rivers pass through the town, the Júcar and the Huecar. These rivers
are at the bottom of two craggy limestone gorges which historically protected
the town from invasion.

In this unique, rocky location you can find the
famous Hanging Houses, the only construction of its type in the world. These
houses are built into the side of the gorge right on the edge of the precipice.
One of them houses the Museum of Abstract Art and the other a fine restaurant
where you can enjoy a leisurely lunch whilst taking in the spectacular views of
the River Huecar and the gorge. |
